Bloomberg’s article has finally praised Singapore’s successful fight against Covid-19 on how other countries cannot easily replicate its model.
A high degree of state influence and compliance is needed, which many countries cannot replicate.
The degree of trust between the people and the good government clearly shows.
Furthermore, Singapore didn’t discover big government for such state influence suddenly during the pandemic.
Rome did not get build in a day. Likewise for Singapore. All the state-link companies to government-aligned unions and public-sector activism deployed effectively when the pandemic struck. The results show our leaders’ meticulous long-term planning who have built up these capabilities for years to anticipate such scenarios from happening.
Not every country can do this. Only a good and stable government with the mandate of the people can do this.
